This yellow sponge was added to the tank March 12th, 1999. It has shown noticable grown. Internal structures appear to have turned black, but many of them have turned yellow again. The outside holes seem to change shape daily.

The sponge seemed to be shrinking in size where it was. I moved the sponge out in the open where it would be in stronger currents. After more reading it seems sponges are from strong current environments not low flow.

I've also started daily target feedings of DT Phytoplankton to my sponges to help make sure they are eating enough.

On June 29, 1999 I had to remove the sponge from the system. I feel I started feeding this sponge way to late. I was not told I needed to feed the sponge when I bought it. The inside of the sponge was very dark/black and the sponge was turning orange and other odd colors.
