Unknown Species Snail Eggs. Picture taken June 2000.

This is an egg track I took a picture off the day after a massive tank spawn. I do not know what kind of snail laid this egg track, it my have been a cerith snail. It may be possible that a nudibranch could have laid it since it is very close to a colt coral (can be seen in the background).

I'm not aware of any nudibranches in my tank and see no evidence of any coral damage from them.

This is a extreme close-up of the upper part of the egg track on the glass. If you click on the image for the larger picture you can clearly see the individual eggs.

The egg track was completely gone a few hours after this photo was taken. I did not see any indication that they hatched or that they were eaten.

Yet another egg cluster of unknown species. These eggs were gone within 24 hours.

This egg cluster was about .25 inches (6mm) across.
