Lawnmower Algae Blenny - Salarias fasciatus

This is the typical lawnmower blenny. Supposed to be a great hair algae eater and film algae eater. I only have a few small patches of hair algae left in the tank and this little fellow hasn't touched it.

I'm a bit worried about how skinny this fish is. I rarely see him actively munching on the rocks and tank glass. He does eat prepared foods with no issue so I'm not overly worried about him.

Other blennies I've had were comical fish which seemed to have personalities. This one is pretty boring.

This little guy disappeared without a trace during February 2002.  Not sure when it actually happened.
